One month later

There is always a Tango tune going round in my head. The last thing I hear before I sleep, the first thing I hear when I awaken is Tango and it has been like this for about a year. I love it. I have no idea why this music strike's such a chord with me it just does. I cleared out most of the record shops in Dublin when I started buying Tango CD's and of course through the internet I picked up loads. Before I came here I had about 120 CD's that been doubled in less than a month. Even with the internet there is not the selection available as much as here. The job of catalogueing them continues. About 60 are finished 100 or so to go at this stage. It maybe fortunate in its own way that I sleep about 5 hours max. More time for typing which is really a pet hate of mine. It's worth it in the end for sure, though. Even with all these CD's there are still tunes that I hear at the milongas that I can't find in the shops and I have checked quite a few. Tigre Viejo is one. I have a version by Francini-Pontier but the version I am looking for is by Osvaldo Fresedo.
It is 4:30am Saturday Morning as I write this I'm just home for Salon Canning. The second lesson and milonga I took on Friday. The second lesson is led by Tete who is quiet a character when there is space he covers it. Lots of twists turns and spins included in his repetoire always very musical, it is hard to pick it up from him as he has hardly a word of english he is always saying "Suave, Tranquille" yet he himself looks like he's whizzing around the dance floor at 90 miles an hour, steps are hardly considered mostly it is about turns (Giros) but it is very dynamic, fast and slow in every direction. I have followed with Tete and it feels amazing.
The last few lessons with Enrique have been wonderfull. There are some evenings when 2 or 3 figures come together very easy, now and again it can take a whole class. ;-) I would like to say a special thanks to his assistants Susanna and Milva, Milva especially for fine tuning the steps I get from Enrique. She has the knack to pick up on nuances that really smooth out my movement. Anybody who shares a dance with me owes her a big thankyou. That is of course if I am doing it correctly.
