I can come out again the weather is now a much more managable 30 deg and under. I have three weeks to go I feel like I've been here for ages the time doesn't seem to be disappearing even though I am having a great time. Life isn't always perfect. Twice people have tried to pickpocket me. Fortunately both times I spotted what was going on then they just buzz off. No harm done nothing taken. This I feel is an ordinary hazard in any city and no worse here in BsAs. On the whole the people here are very warm and friendly. On the milonga front it has been very hit and miss this week. Earlier in the week I shared many dances later on several people looking my way then turning way upon invitation. Essentially this is normal practice but what was a bit annoying is when they continue to offer eye contact and refuse again. After half a dozen times I just didn't feel like staying and would head off to another milonga or home to continue catalogueing the CD collection. The CD collection is growing almost daily, I can buy faster than I can type. It is a laborious process. Nearly 200 bought 70 odd catalogued. A couple of DVD's and videos for good measure.
I have bought two pair of shoes a training pair and a regular dancing pair Both leave something to be desired, the dancing pair look and fit well put are poorly finished, the training pair I was informed should stretch with use but one hour is the max time I can wear them. A return visit to the maker is due.

Over the halfway mark as I write this, more than two hundred hours of Tango lessons and Milongas. I am suprised how my feet have held up. I have also been fortunate only to have received a couple of high heels the worst was when one partner stood on my foot with most of her weight, I wasn't even doing my speedy gonzalez stuff. Glad to say no serious damage done just sore for a few days. The weather is now a talking point for everybody. The temp. for the last few has jumped to 38+, if you stand still for five minutes it feels like your leaking as the sweat literally oozes out, that plus the very high humidity is making everybody listless. There are salt tracks on my clothes after they dry out, and you feel like you can't get enought water into you. Fortunatelly several milongas have air conditioning. At the milongas that don't you get on the floor and head for the nearest fan, cool down there and head on till the next one. I will be glad when drops a few degrees.
