Had a great weekend of dancing just past. Class at Enriques went really well and I hardly sat down at the milonga afterwards. After a bite to eat spent the rest of the night at Canning which included a class. Picked up another giro at this class, one which I have been trying to figure out since I saw it, so was glad of that. Canning was very busy that night but everybody maintained excellent etiquette so there was minimal bumping. Saturday I visited 3 milongas starting at 3pm at Enrique's and finishing up 4:30am at Porteño y Bailarín. Sunday was a half day only one milonga a place I had not been before "La Barranca" way to the north of BsAs. It took place in a sports complex. Once inside, the place is lovely. They have a great floor. Good partners all night
I forgot to mention in the last update about the day I was locked out of my flat not a lot of fun I can say. I was putting the rubbish out, which is to put it into a little room just outside my door from where it is collected by the porter and put outside for the bin men. I had opened the windows to the balcony to air the place the wind blew BANG the door closed F*~# I was on the wrong side, not a penny and key less. I was glad I wasn't just in my underwear. This was at 10:30am. You need a key to leave the building also. So first port of call was to a friend who knew where there was a second set of keys, naturally enough she was at work. All my phone numbers are written down not in my head, but I could access them on the net where I have a contacts list. No money though!!!! Ok off to some friends to scrounge a few bob. A hours worth of walking I have some success, money acquired I get the numbers off the web Bleeding mobiles are out of range or switched off. I leave some messages on answering machines. Finally at about 3pm I make contact which led to the second set of keys arriving around 4:45pm. I am back in the flat around 5pm safe and sound, what a day. I won't be making this mistake again. Thanks to Filipe and Pilar for their help, Uki and Kiki also.
María has arrived from Dublin for a two week stay. María is the first of several who will take a tango holiday in BsAs during my own stay. As always it is great to meet one of the gang and get first hand news from the home front.
